KS Hegde Medical Academy (KSHEMA), Mangalore, Karnataka was established in 1999. It turned into a constituent school of NITTE University in 2009. K S Hegde Medical Academy offers admission to undergraduate and postgraduate and super speciality courses. Admission to certain courses is done on the basis of the All India Entrance examination while for certain other courses admission is on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.

For Undergraduate Courses (MBBS/B.Sc.):
- For MBBS, candidates must qualify the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test(NEET-UG).

KSHEMA, Mangalore Placement
The university provides internship facilities for its students varying from a period of 6 months to 1 year. However, no separate placement drive is conducted by the university administration. Usually the students are employed for full time where they go for internships.
