NEET PG counselling 2021 will start from the third week of March. The counselling of NEET PG 2021 will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on behalf of the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. NEET PG 2021 counselling will have two rounds, seats left vacant after the first round of counselling will be filled in the second round. A third round will be conducted only if any seats are left vacant after the conclusion of the second round.
Aspirants of NEET PG must note that it is mandatory to clear the examination to participate in the counselling process. The counselling of NEET PG 2021 will be conducted for admission to the following quotas:
- 50% All India Quota seats
- 50% State Quota seats
- Armed Forces Medical Services
- Deemed Universities
- Central Universities (DU, AMU, BHU)
- ESIC colleges

NEET PG 2021 Counselling: Eligibility
To participate in the counselling of NEET PG 2021 a candidate must score more than or equal to the qualifying cutoffs released by MCC. The qualifying cutoff for this year will be released along with the result of NEET PG 2021. Candidates can refer to the table below to the cutoff trends for the past years.

NEET PG 2021 Counselling Process
As mentioned above the counselling of NEET PG 2021 is conducted online. The process starts with online registrations and ends with reporting to the allotted institute with all the documents. The entire process of NEET PG counselling 2021 has been illustrated below
The process of NEET PG counselling
Step 1: Registration
Candidates who wish to participate in the counselling of NEET PG 2021 need to register on the official website of MCC. New registrations are accepted before each round. However, candidates who have registered once for NEET PG counselling 2021 do not need to register for the second time.
Steps to register for the counselling of NEET PG 2021 have been listed below:
- Go to the official website on MCC-mcc.nic.in
- Click on ‘PG Medical Counselling’
- Register using a valid email ID and mobile number
- Note down the login credentials
- Login again to fill the application form
- Enter personal/academic details
- Check the form before final submission
Step 2: Registration fee
- To participate in the counselling of NEET PG 2021, a candidate needs to pay the registration fee
- The registration fee for NEET PG 2021 counselling has to be paid online (Net banking/credit card/debit card)
- There are two components of the registration fee, refundable and non-refundable

Choice filling
Candidates now have to choose the desired course and colleges from the list given on MCC. Candidates can choose as many options as they want. The options will be given on the left side of the screen and will move to the right side of the page once chosen. Options can be added or deleted from the list.
Candidates are advised to check the choices filled before submitting them. Also, they must keep a copy of the choices filled for future use.
Seat allotment list
MCC releases the result of NEET PG counselling 2021 in the form of a seat allotment list. Seats are allocated based on the options filled by the candidates and their all India ranks. NEET PG seat allotment list is uploaded on the official website of MCC in a PDF format. Candidates who make it to the list can download their seat allotment letter by logging into the registered account on the official website.
Reporting to the institute
Candidates who will be allocated a seat in the counselling of NEET PG 2021 will have to report to the allocated institute. They must carry all their certificates in original along with a self-attested copy. List of documents that a candidate must carry to the allocated institute is given below.

Candidates must note that it is mandatory for them to be present physically for verification of documents and confirmation of the allocated seat. If they fail to report to the allocated institute, their candidature will be forfeited.
NEET PG 2021 Seat Matrix
Seat matrix of NEET PG 2021 will denote the number of seats available under each speciality course. The matrix also defines the number of seats that are available for a particular category of candidates. NEET PG Counselling for State Quota Seats
As mentioned above, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is responsible for admissions to the 50% AIQ seats of government, government-aided and private colleges in India. The remaining 50% of these colleges are also filled using the scores of NEET PG but the counselling for these seats is conducted by the respective state government.
