School of Business Management (SBM) is a Department for Management studies functioning under NMIMS University, Mumbai. The selection criteria of the institute are based on an entrance test namely NMAT conducted by GMAC. This will be followed by a personal interview. Candidates with a GMAT score of more than 600 are also eligible for admission. 

How to Apply for NMIMS?

Candidates willing to apply for MBA course can follow the below mentioned steps:

Step 1: Registration at NMAT by GMAC™: Visit www.nmat.org. to register online and complete the registration process by paying the registration fee. Note down your NMAT by GMAC™ registration number which is a prerequisite for completing the NMIMS application.

Step 2: Registration at NMIMS: Visit www.nmims.edu and enter your NMAT by GMAC™ registration number, and complete the application process. Candidates will not be able to fill out the NMIMS application form without the registration number. Complete the application process by paying the registration fees (non-refundable). The NMAT by GMAC™ application scores will be used for further selection process.

Note: Candidates must register only once for the NMAT

Registration Fee: INR 2,800

Selection Criteria

Stage 1: NMAT by GMAC™ test is a mandatory test for applying to the following NMIMS University programs:

  • MBA
  • MBA HR
  • MBA Business Analytics
  • MBA (Digital Transformation)
  • MBA Pharmaceutical Management Mumbai

After the candidate has applied to NMIMS, the score of the NMAT by GMAC™ Test for all the NMIMS applicants will be submitted by GMAC to NMIMS (Deemed to-be- University)

Stage 2: Shortlisting of the candidates are based on NMAT sectional and total score will be done only for candidates applying to any of the NMIMS programs

NMIMS conducts the 2nd Stage of the selection process for the shortlisted candidates. The Process includes psychometric test, written Aptitude test, and Personal Interview. The details will be informed subsequently. The selection process is done in person and the candidate must carry the NMAT by GMAC scorecard.

 

Note: Call letters will not bt e-mailed or sent by post, it will be declared on the candidate’s dashboard.

Weightage will be given to academic performance and work experience as well.

  • The final merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained by a candidate in NMAT by GMAC™, personal interview, WAT, psychometric test, work experience and past academic performance.
  • The selection criteria is based on merit only. The decision regarding the cut-off of the merit list will solely lie with NMIMS. Aspirants who have applied for more than 1 Programme / Campus in the application forms will be selected based on their merit score and preferences and the availability of the seats in the respective programme.

Note: The decision of the NMIMS shall be final and binding on all concerned.
