Life at IIM Shillong
IIM Shillong is nestled in a beautiful environment, bordered by pine trees, a refreshing lake, and lovely walking pathways. The campus has classrooms, hostel accommodation, a mess/café, a sports compound, hi-tech computer labs, and many other amenities. The campus features four dormitory complexes with amenities such as sports, entertainment, and mess facilities.
Classes at IIM Shillong begin at 9 a.m. Each session is typically 1.5 hours long and includes lectures, lively discussions, case studies, demonstrations, etc. Classes often conclude and continue until 6 p.m., and some sessions are also offered at night. The rest of the working hour is spent in group or club gatherings, preparing projects, and preparing for the following day’s lectures.
