IIM Rohtak was established in 2010 and is one of the six 2nd generation IIMs. The Institute was started under the mentorship of IIM Lucknow in the initial years and is currently ranked 12th in the NIRF Rankings 2024.

IIM Rohtak is known for its flagship PGP program, which currently has a batch size of 320 students and the fees is INR 17.9 lakhs. The admission into the MBA program is based on CAT, followed by a Personal Interview. The CAT cutoff is 96 percentile overall. IIM Rohtak’s IPM is a 5-year Integrated program with a batch size of 165. IIM Rohtak IPM fees is INR 17.65 lakhs for first three years. Admission to IPM program is based on the IPMAT exam, followed by a Personal Interview. The IPMAT cutoff for general category students is 409.

IIM Rohtak recorded 100% placements for the Batch of 2022-24, where the highest package stood at INR 48.25 LPA, the average package was INR 19.27 LPA, and the median package was INR 17.00 LPA. The average package of IIM Rohtak increased by 3% from last year.

IIM Rohtak Summer Internship Placement 2024 final report is released, and the average stipend increased by 38.9% to INR 99,100 for two months, whereas IIM Rohtak’s highest stipend stood at INR 2.5 Lakhs.

IIM Rohtak’s average package for the MBA batch of 2024 increased by 2.83% to INR 19.23 LPA with participation from 237 companies. Marketing roles saw the highest participation followed by General Management and HR roles. 

Sales and Marketing emerged as the most popular placement sector, with 30% of students securing placement in the marketing sector compared to 21% last year. This represents a significant increase in IIM Rohtak’s marketing placements.

Life at IIM Rohtak

A typical IIM Rohtak student’s day starts at 8:30 am with three 75-minute morning classes. Lunch follows from 1 pm to 2 pm, providing a break before students dive into case discussions. Evenings remain engaged with club and committee activities – from sports and cultural events to case competitions. This continues until dinner at 8:30 pm. Afterward, students dedicate themselves to assignments, often working till midnight to meet deadlines.

Library: IIM Rohtak manages a knowledge Resource Center that provides information resources in management and related disciplines. The K.R.C. is focused on delivering e-delivery of information to the users through network-based e-database access, book circulation through barcode systems, and accessibility of resources through web-OPAC. KRC is open to users 24/7, and the e-resources are accessible through the institute-wide network and from anywhere via the RemoteXs service subscribed to by the Institute.

Hostels: The Institute has 5 Hostels; three are for female students, and two are for male students. The Rules and Regulations are strictly followed on these campuses, and students are only allowed to leave the campus with prior permission or regularly; days are fixed for outings.
